Configuring the Twitter Tools Wordpress Plugin
Sunday, September 27th, 2009 by MikeLTI just created this post to see if my twitter tools plugin for Wordpress, located at the top of sidebar2, will update with this blog post. It hasn’t changed since my first post. I just threw it in there real quick and probably didn’t configure it right.
Also, I want to make sure it is shortening the urls.
Let’s take a look!
Update:
Ok, I went to the twitter tools option page and this is what I found:
All I want is to show my latest tweet on the sidebar. As you can see, I have said no to creating a post for each tweet.
However, I said yes to creating a digest (not really knowing what that meant) in effect creating a post with all my tweets from that day. Hmmm. Not really what I want, for now anyway, so I turned it off.
Now I will post a tweet from within twitter just to make sure the sidebar widget is updating.
Update:
Everything is working fine. The widget automatically updates after a delay of a couple of minutes. I can handle that.
The bit.ly url shortening tool is also working fine
I will now delete the previous digest post of my tweets, because I just don’t want it there.
